Barrel/Cylinder gap fix question

Jesus 35745,
Just as a FYI, when Andy built Project 616 for me, he made the BC gap pretty tight. I would be surprised if it is as much as .300”. I notice it starts to get a little draggy after a day of shooting, but apparently that’s the way he meant it to be (for max MV?)
Froggie

CORRECTION: That should be “.003”” not “.300”” as I typed. :o

Well, took the drive to Andy this morning. Truck knows the way there. Before I left I tried feeler gages at .090 in the firing pin location and it was tight with no ammo. With 6 reloads a .002 feeler gage wouldn’t fit. Definitely an Andy job, out of my league.

When I called him to make sure he would be there I asked about lightning the trigger pull on the Victor Sarasqueta 20 ga side lock and he said yes, he could do it. Fantastic, I love the style, weight, handling and looks of the gun. Said 2-3 weeks!! Will be great to pull the triggers and feel them lighter. Missed 2 pheasants last season because of the hard triggers.

Froggie, the .32 long PPC revolver he built for me had a very tight b/c gap. A friend at the club increased it, a former leo armor that attended the S&W gunsmith school. The cylinder holes/chambers in all the 32’s he built for me were tight, the b/c gaps varied. Andy looked OK, a little older & slower as I’m sure I look the same to everyone. Can’t wait, Larry

PS I notice my math dyslexia struck again on my previous post…of course I meant .003”, not .300” as I typed! :o
