Barrel Lengths/Options

I'd like to see a classic 6- or 6.5-inch, half-lug barrel available for the S&W 625 and 686, as well as a no-lug barrel available for the S&W 617.

I know they won't sell like hotcakes, and would probably be a bad move, business-wise, but I like the classic look

See if you can locate a 686 Stocking Dealer Special. 5 inch half lug barrel, 7shot. Passed up a chance to buy one for $500 a while back and been kicking myself in the ass ever since.

It would be nice to have the 617 with a non full lug barrel. The full underlug makes the 4" a 42 oz and the 6" Bbl. model a 45 oz. .22 handgun. neither being that handy to pack the next option down is the new model 63 with it's
freakish looking 5" Bbl.

Guess they are making the model 18 with a
4" Bbl.
