Barrel Shroud Install

My Kineti-Tech shroud seems to come loose very easily. The video they have online shows them screwing the shroud directly onto the barrel after taking off the flash hider and crush washer. Should I be using the crush washer? The video doesn't show it being used but it seems like it probably needs it.

Hmmm, I didn't use a washer on mine and it hasn't come loose yet. (over 5k fired with it installed) I know you need to be careful not to torque the barrel in the upper, but maybe a little more "omph" when tightening the shroud will do the trick.

For what it's worth (if anything), with the crush washer and a little of that colored goo that you put on threads, I could still easily unscrew my Spike's can by hand. It's not going to fall off, but it's not rock solid either.

I used the crush washer with mine and it seems pretty solid. Just make sure the washer is facing the right way.
