My parents gave me my first bb gun for my 12th Christmas. It was a Crossman AIR-17; looked like an M-16 and I absolutely loved it. I could hit soda cans from clear across the yard, which impressed me at the time...
Anyway, I went to Wal-Mart today to buy my nephew a BB/Pellet gun for his 12th birthday.
They had a few models in stock, and I went with the Remington Airmaster 77. 750 fps, 4x scope, .177 cal.
I figure after some training and practice with the Remington, I'll let him have some fun with the 15-22.
After all the drama Remington ammo caused me with the 15-22, I wasn't thrilled about buying their product, but it looked like the best "bang for the buck" for a 12 year old, and after a few test shots, it seems like a fine rifle.
He's very excited and looking forward to doing some shooting tomorrow after school. Should be fun...
