That's the REAL thing!
I was in a store out west and real, live working rancher came in. He was no urban cowboy. Spurs and the whole shebang, looked like he'd been in the saddle a few days in rough weather.
I know some of you are probably are or maybe know, real western ranchers, but I'm from Charleston, SC and there isn't much roping and branding here.

I had a couple of real cowboys working for me at one time. Great guys from a by gone time. They would do anything I ask if it could be done off a horse. Asked one of them if he thought he could mend some fence and he let me know that there were ranchers that were hiring in our area. I never brought up the subject again.
