We flew into Phoenix the Friday before the SWCA Symposium was due to start to do some roaming around Arizona. There was a gun show in Glendale that started at 12 on Friday so we stopped by on the way out of town. I found this rig in the last row of the show after predicting that I’d find nothing among the black guns most tables featured. The dealer John actually had several tubs of old leather, this was the standout for me so I brought it home. It fits a 4” K frame revolver and could stand a little Blackrock.

That's a pic of a ship in a bottle, John :-). How did Bedell get his holster get onto the belt when the cuff is now stitched to the fender?!

I have a review of Blackrock on my own blog. I've tested it for the first time within the last couple days and I would call it a 'feel good' treatment (cleans, darkens, and is one half water and part engine antifreeze). Carved leather, being incised, will absorb more of any leather treatment than most so will darken most.

Red, it appears that the snap on the bottom is unsnapped, and the holster is pulled out of the cuff. Not an easy job or one you do frequently.

I had a chance to handle that rig and it’s a keeper for sure! Great find Mr. Witty.
I didn’t try to remove the holster from the belt, but I believe Pig Hunter is spot on.

Yessir. The holster pouch will pull out of the cuff because the muzzle is not stitched to the fender -- but to then get the fender and cuff through the slot in the holster? Which suggests that Rogers sewed the cuff on after putting the fender through the slot in the belt. I've assembled many a buscadero such as the Bianchi 1890 that uses a buckled strap instead of a cuff; it's a real bear to accomplish with the shape and stiffness of the Bianchi (Ojala style) fender! But the buckled strap is then attached via slots not sewing as it appears here on the Rogers. Which is why I noticed :-).
