Every now and then, someone asks about belly bands
for CC. Usually, I see the post, and tout the Gould & Goodrich
"Bodyguard". And I always say that it's comfortable to use.
Finally decided to actually wear it for a whole day, and
doing whatever. Going on 18 hours now, and it's still
comfy with a 642. Stays snugged up to my side, and stays
put with no shifting around. These things come with
a body/sweat shield; keeps the barrel from poking me.
"Course I see that the price has gone up about 50%, too.
Mine is worn up under the armpit, like a poor man's
shoulder-holster rig.
YMMV, TACC1.

I've had a Bianchi Ranger Belly Band for several years. My M642 was, for some reason, hard to draw from it, so I usually carried my M640-1 in it. I once wore it for 17 hours straight and literally forgot it was there. I even carried my 3" M29-3 in it, under a tucked in shirt quite comfortably. I always carried in the 4 o'clock position.

I've seen the ads in gun magazines with it worn as you described, but never tried it. Have you tried the Kramer Confidant shirt holster? The guns mags always have ads for these. This is my Summer carry mode. A J-Frame will work in it, but I always carry my Glock 23 or 27, with a spare mag on the other side. Unbelievably comfortable, and impossible to spot, unless you get a hug.:D Just leave the top two shirt buttons unbuttoned and draw. Costs about 65 bucks.

Paul, I have a Kramer T shirt holster . If you want to borrow it next time we can meet for coffee.
It will be a while, I am still recovering.
The Bianchi R9 is one of my favorites AKA Steve Mc Queen Bullet Holster.

Been thinking about getting a belly band for when I start working. I have this semester and next left on my degree and then I'll have a real job. Whenever I visit perspective labs I see the guys in khaki's and buttondown shirts, so I think a bellyband would be ideal. Though I've been looking at the Air Marshal by Kangaroocarry.com. It strikes me as the best one for the money.

Ive worn my pistolwear belly band on 70 mile bike rides... it gets hot but thats to be expected.

+1 for the kangaroo carry products!

I use the standard II everyday, carrying my j-frame, not one complaint.
