Hey, I was wondering what the deal is with these "belt ride" hosters? Has anyone gave them a try? How do you like em?? Here's one example I found on ebay, for a J frame S&W.. Looks like it has a loop and a slot? How are they for CCW?? Thanks for all info and opinions.. Here's the link if you want to further check it out. Belt Ride Holster

They look like a copy of the Hume JIT slide. I like the JIT slide for all day comfortable carry where I'm less concerned about high ride and concealment. Looks like they would be a great range holster.

Basically, a very abbreviated version of the Askins Avenger style, belt slot behind the trigger guard, tunnel loop on the holster body, in this case a very limited coverage of the revolver.

Personally, I would have some concerns over weapon retention during even the most mundane physical movements.

But, low price attracts a lot of attention, so I'm sure they are selling them.

I HAVE ONE BY DON HUME AND IT WILL CARRY ALOT OF DIFFERANT GUNS.FOR ME IT'S COMFORTABLE
AND I HAVE ALOT OF TROUBLE IN THAT AREA. DON

Like billtex213, I have one from Blackhawk. I bought it for use with my 66-5 with a 2.5" barrel. It works well with all of my K frames. I like it. Very simple.

I wouldn't use it for carry. It need at least a tension screw for that, however as mentioned, would make a sweet range rig.
