Just acquired one of my “grail” guns Beretta 84. Would love to be able to carry it some. Looking for recommendations for a deep drop appendix holster . Leather or Kydex would be ok. Since you all came through for me last time, I’m asking again.
Thanks in advance!

Is your 84 an F or B?

Either way, Don Hume's H715 open mouth single clip works well for appendix carry and they still make them for the Beretta 84s.

I use this holster model with a sweat shield for EDC with it positioned just in front of my hip bone. I have no printing problem when carrying a S&W 3953 or 6946 in the holster during our hot, humid summers wearing a T and cargo shorts.

Don Hume is local for you in OKC.

Craft Holsters uses a group of European holster makers, and I bought one of their holsters for my Walther PPS which took about 7 weeks to get to me.

Mine rides in this Barsony nylon jobbie. My main requirement is the clip hold on like grim death, and this one does.

Mine is an F, square trigger guard.

Like you, the Beretta 84 has been a “want” for me for some time. I finally acquired a Beretta 84B a month ago. Really nice firearm in great condition. After several range trips to checkout function and reliability and also determine which ammo works best, it rolled into my EDC selection. The “B” model has the rounded trigger guard and a slightly narrower slide, so not many Cheetah holsters will work. And because of that, I’m looking for a holster with a thumb break snap. Still looking, unfortunately…….
But they are great guns……

I saw a Bianchi 54L Baretta 84 holster on eBay that is a thumb break and looks to be in good condition.

Lucky Gunner has ballistic test results on their website for many .380ACPs. It's worth a look.

Yep, saw that one on eBay. It’s a paddle holster, something I’m not very fond of. Just don’t care for them.
I checked out the Don Hume H715 (think you recommended that one), and although it doesn’t have a thumb snap, it appears to be made to fit the “B” model. And it’s on sale too. May have to seriously consider that one……. Thanks

The H715 from Hume is molded to the gun so you hear it seat when holstering. You aren't going to have it dropping out of the holster even when dancing like an FBI Special Agent.

I can hold my holstered 3953 up side down and it doesn't slip until I shake it hard.

It is excellent for concealed carry with only a trigger finger's width of holster appearing above the waistband.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Hume holster. Since it was on sale, I decided to give it a try. If it fits the 84B as well as it looks, it’ll be a keeper.
A fine pistol deserves a leather holster.

The Beretta Cheetah FS 85 was a grail gun for me, too. I acquired it quite some time ago.

I am not for sure how many holsters that I have for it, likely 2 or 3, but I had a Kirkpatrick *** holster specifically made for it.

The asterisks are because I used an abbreviated term for "small of back". It's a Forum automatic change/edit, not mine. :D

Do I carry it?

Nope. I love these guns but with 9mms of equal or smaller size I can't make myself carry a .380.

I got an 85 last year, too. Impulse buy, of course.... I had an 84 years ago and always liked the style. Since it sits in the safe, the single-stack isn't all that important. I did find a nice NOS Don Hume holster online for it, but that's never been carried either.

I picked up an 84F a few months ago, with the full intention of carrying it, but then I got a Tisas Sting-Ray 1911 Commander. Still the 84F is a great carry piece. I had a Browning BDA in nickel, many years ago and foolishly let it get away.

When I do carry the 84F, it's in a Maxx Carry IWB that I found on Ebay. I think I actually bought it for something else, no idea what really, but it fits the 84F like it was made for it. I just found it in my "big bag O holsters."
