Beretta makes a nice pistol: my INOX 92fs

My favorite 9mm is my S&W 539, but the close second is my Beretta 92fs stainless.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's, and the Beretta was my favorite movie pistol.

These guns are probably the most extensively tested pistol to date. Folks seem to either love them or hate them. Count me in the love em category. It's on the heavy side, but it's very well balanced.

I use a Mecgar 20 round magazine.

Those are nice. Mine is the usual Bruniton finish, but if my budget would allow more guns, an Inox like yours would be high on the list.

Currently, some Italian police trade-in M-92S models are selling for as little as $299, probably the best used auto pistol deal on the market.

For some reason W. Pa. hates Beretta........ made for a great used market in the 90s-2010.......

Inox compacts and Type M's are my favorites......... well except for my first a 89 F Compact!!!!

I have 3 Berettas and an almost Beretta...

I have a little gem Model 84 .380 13 shot, and just got a Bud's Italian made M92S police turn in, very clean and great condition - $299...and a M71 .22LR and a Stoeger Cougar 9mm...yeah, I like them a lot...
They WORK!

This Italian Beretta 92FS Inox is my fourth of the 92 series. I will keep this one.

A Galco Combat Master holster does a great job concealing this pistol.

I agree the Beretta is a large pistol; but compare it to my S&W 65-3. Lots more firepower in the same size package.

I picked up a 92FS in Inox, made in Italy, almost new condition from a pawn shop a couple of years ago for $380 OTD. It could have passed for a new gun. I haven't shot it much, but it runs flawlessly and is decently accurate. Probably a keeper.

The standard police sidearm, for many years, was a 4" barrel, fixed sight K frame revolver. When those revolvers are compared to a semi-auto, one has to wonder why semi-auto pistols were not more prominent in law enforcement.

I've always liked the Beretta 92s, especially for open-carry in a duty holster. They were reliable, accurate, and easy to keep on target.
I personally preferred the decocker-only model. When it first appeared on the scene there really wasn't much available that could compete against it as a full-size, duty pistol.

And, let's not forget, in the 80s Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson "sold"more Beretta 92s than any marketing plan Beretta could've ever dreamed up. LOL

Agree with OP. My Beretta 92F - 1985 made in Italy with factory walnut grips. Action is smoothest of any semi-auto I have shot. Certainly a handful but with it's size comes lower recoil. Very accurate. Never a problem. Like the chrome lined barrel.

The 92F was the original model chosen by the US Military. A later modification for slide retention in the rare case of a slide breakage changed the model designation to a 92FS
