For $48.50 per, I will pass at this time. Are the followers made of gold?

Welcome to the wonderful world of mags for out-of-print guns! Many years ago, I paid $49 each (IIRC) for 2 new mags for a Beretta 1935 in .32ACP. Also $30 for a Beretta 950 mag. Those prices aren't coming down.

It is good Beretta (Mec-Gar?) is making magazines to meet the demand from all the recent model 81s on the surplus market. Too bad about the price though. :(

As of yesterday, Classic Arms still had the surplus mags in stock at $35. I ordered two of them a few weeks ago and they look nearly new after cleaning up. They are so thick, and well-made, that I think you could drive over them and still use them. Plus, they have the older-style solid aluminum base plates with quality looking markings on them – unlike the newer Beretta mags …

Before the recent 81 surplus wave I bought a new manufactured 81 and mags from berretta, no one wanted them. I bought a few new mags then too. I don't think they were that expensive. Here last week I couldn't stand it and bought a surplus 81 for $200 shipped, it is in really good shape. I have never fired the nib 81.
