I was at the range last week and I was shooting my 340 PD and I usually keep it loaded with 38+P . I had some 148gr wadcutters and I shot them and I couldn't believe the reduction in recoil. I was wondering if anyone made a .357 shell that would compare with this recoil I don't reload so it would have to be something commerical or is this just wishful thinking?

You can't get something for nothing. .357 hollow points are better manstoppers, but .38 wadcutters have a great reputation for being the best thing going for the recoil sensitive. For an in between load, try Federal 125 gr. std. pressure Nyclads.

I would not shoot 357 magnums out of a 12oz revovler, but that's just me. Speer 135+P gold dots (short barrel) work great in the J Frames. My personal favorite.

My 340 PD is loaded with Buffalo Bore 125 +P's.
A close 2nd choice would be Corbon DPX +P's.

The 120 grain warning on the barrel applies only to 357's.
Any weight in 38 is OK according to Smith & Wesson.
