Best ankle holster for shield 1.0

I am considering ankle carry for the shield with 7 round mag. I know this is slow draw and less than ideal. But right now for the situations where I don't think I can conceal IWB, the other option is to not carry at all.

Or buy another smaller pocket gun. And a holster is cheaper than a new gun.

Just wondering what ofhwrs have used and found successful.

Welp, wish I could be of more help, but I only pocket or OWB carry anymore. I ankle carried for a number of years, but it caused me to do some "slight" permanent damage to the inside of my left ankle....doctor told me to quit carrying that way.

No personal experience with this ankle configuration, but the unique support system seems to transfer the weight bearing to your shoe. I think you get a month to try it, and return it for a full refund if not satisfied.

However, the Shield is a really big gun to ankle carry. Go smaller like a Ruger LCP and you can either pocket carry or ankle carry it.

I have seen so many malfunctions and failures with small 380 autos I have little confidence with them.

Also I shoot the LCP so poorly and hate the trigger so badly that I just do not see a pocket 380 as a solution.

Maybe if I can find a small 380 that fits and shoots well and is reliable I could change my mind. I just have not found that combination yet.

My brother has carried his shield ankle with a Galco unit.
