Ditto on Magnum Force. Also The Untouchables

Add "Brannigan" with John Wayne and a Colt Diamondback. "48 Hours" is another good one.

When I said "best portrayal" I was thinking more in terms accurate usage. Like using the sights and two handed grips at least.

Given those parameters, I don't think there are any! It should be noted that until fairly recently (if you count the 70s as recent) standard training for revolver use was one handed, either point shooting from a semi-crouch or holding the revolver at arms length with your shoulders aligned with your arm.

Oh, and my favorite "revolver" movie is The Shootist.....

Not a movie but a TV show.... Adam-12!!!! The best revolvers and old school police gear!

All 7 seasons on DVD and Netflix!

Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The scene where he rolls his eyes, draws and center punches the martial artist with an S&W Hand Ejector is classic.:D
Jim

Ok, how about this to ruffle a few feathers... Quigley Down Under, I know its SA but when he finally does use a revolver it is pretty awesome.

The movie is utter garbage, but guns are portrayed in an almost erotic light. "Blue Steel", with Jamie Lee Curtis.

However, one of the best things I have seen revolver-wise is Tyne Daly reloading her 2.5 in Python in "The Enforcer". Even the director on the DVD commentary makes a point of stating how she practiced with it to get it down. It's so natural and easy, you would think she had handled guns her whole life.
