Hello, I have a PC 629 that is lightly pollished and was manufactured in 1995. I would like to send it to get the original finish applied, which was a standard satin finish. Should I send it to S&W or does anyone have a favorate place that does Exceptional work & has a good turnaround time?
The turnaround time is not a critical factor in my choice on where to send the 629, rather I am concerned about the Reproducability of a 1995 satin finish. The closer to the original finish the better. Are the satin finishes that most people do going to be close enough to an early to mid 90's finish?
This is an important decision I have to make because the 629 in question is quite rare and I am a concerned about it's safe keeping. I have put this project off for to long and Any advice will be greatly appritiated.

Thanks.

Also, I will post pics of the before & after results.

If you want the same "brushed" finish that S&W did originally send it back to S&W.
Personally, I like stainless guns bead blasted for a matte appearance. It's clean and uniform and hides blemishes well.

Which finish would be concistant for a 1995 PC 629-3? Brushed or Beedblasted?
