Beverly Hillbillies Truck

For that kind of money, I'd rather buy an Aston Martin Vantage S with the 6 liter V12 engine.

I'd rather have the truck - Way easier AND much cheaper to keep running :) Plus - It's EMP proof

It had been in the folk museum in Branson,Mo. They also had a great collection of firearms, I wonder if they are being sold also. Anybody know?

It came to the auction from the Ron Pratte collection here in AZ. George Barris designed the truck, there were also 4 other versions made.
I'm in Scottsdale going to the Barrett-Jackson auctions.

And that was just the one used in the movie. I would think that if the one from the TV series is still around it would be lots more.

The one in Branson is supposedly from the TV show. You can have your picture taken in it for $10.00. It's in a folk museum on the campus of College of the Ozarks, a really neat school where all students have to work at the college. They run a great restaurant right by the entrance!

It was sad to see that Donna Douglas - Ely Mae passed away recently. I think only Max Baer -Jethro is still with us from the main cast.

Baer is alive and lives predominantly in Las Vegas. When we were in Vegas back in 81-82? I saw him at a table in Circus Circus--gambling. Didnt meet him though.

I thought he lived in the Carson City/Reno area? Saw him at Lk Tahoe 10+ years back, but didn't talk to him or get very close. Thats where I heard from a store owner that he lived nearby.

Hollywood car customizer George Barris built the Beverly Hillbillies truck.

He wedded a 1921 Oldsmobile model 46 roadster front end to a flat bed truck chassis he'd found. It looked so authentic most folks thought it came that way from the factory.
