BEWARE ANOTHER SCAM

I recently read where 8 people were busted in the IRS scam, so maybe those calls will stop for awhile. My crazy neighbor called me a few weeks ago wanting me to go to the airport with here to pick up her free gold. She said she was scared to go by herself to pick up something worth that much money. I asked her what this "free" gold costs and she told me only $100.00 and a credit card number. She gave me the phone number of the people she had been talking to and it was one of the scammer numbers. I told her to immediately cancel the credit card and told her how to report to the credit bureaus. She asked me if I had another bottle of homemade muscadine wine.

Every single day our local Walmart gets several old men in their 60's or 70's at the service desk area coming in to buy money orders - upwards of $1,000 many times. These men are purchasing these MO's to ship to their "new girlfriend" or "a girl who needs help" -------------- in Nigeria.

I really don't feel sorry for these idiots anymore. A fool and his money are soon parted. What I don't understand is how people this dumb were able to acquire any money in the first place.

Ryan O'Neal would peruse the obits for people that died and go to their house and tell the people that the a special bible had been ordered and generally the people would accept it as a lost token of their lost one.

RW, If you ever get someone like that coming to your door, just tell them you're a practicing "Druid".:D That'll make them turn right around and make'em go
