Bianchi "Serpico" shoulder hoster

I know they are discontinued but has anyone here ever used one, with a .45 compact, and what was their opinion of it compared to the newer rigs.

Alright, the question needs to be asked. Why in the world would anyone name a holster after Serpico? Sorry for the thread drift, but why?
