BIG kitty kat ( warning, dead animal photo)

While going out into the desert on the west Mesa of Las Cruces, I spotted this cat along the side of the frontage road. It appeared to be something like 50 to 60 lbs. His paws were gigantic! It didn't look like bloat so it was one big fella, and I passed that spot the day before and it wasn't there. It was about 2 miles from where I shoot.
There are no farm animals nearby so maybe he was hunting domestic critters residing about a mile away.

Appears to be a Bobcat and a really big one from the description!
In Arizona, they have been multiplying like crazy and we have problems with them in subdivisions going after pets.

50-60 lbs. would be a monster bobcat.

I seen small bobcats when night fishing but at home under the street lights I seen a very tall bobcat. He was looking at me looking at him. I also seen a lynx cross the road infront of my car.

I've never seen such a heavy Bobcat before. Looks like steroid use to me.

I got this one over in Al on a hunt trip a few years ago, large but lean.

I got one many years back in the Sierras, went about 30 lbs I think.
