I shoot in the Phoenix, Az area during the winter months. The Billy bullets which are moly lubed are very popular with the action pistol shooters in 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP. They do not produce the smoke one expereinces with normal lead lubed bullets. I do not know what powders are being used but I do see people purchasing Titegroup at the shoots. Personally I prefer a slower burning powder with lead bullets as Titegroup burn very hot.

I use Billy bullets both for .45 and .38 spl but I have never used Titegroup. W231 and Clays are my most used powders.
The Billy bullets do work great and cut way down on smoke which, to me, is important when shooting in competition, especially low light or in a shoot house.

If you want to shoot lead bullets, they are the way to go,the owners are great people great service, and good bullets, but thats just my $.02

I don't recommend Titegroup with lead or moly-coated bullets unless you have no other choice. It has a very high nitroglycerine content, burns hotter than most other powders and creates more smoke with lead bullets than other powders. Some claim it causes more leading than other powders but I haven't confirmed that in my limited experience.

Billy Bullets are excellent in .45 acp. The coating must be slick because the last batch of 200 gr LSWCs were going 40-50 fps faster than regular hard cast lead bullets with the same powder charge, primers, and cases.

Powders I use with Billy Bullets include American Select, Winchester Super Target, and Vithavouri N-320.
