I've always DIYed this job, but I just ordered a set of Bilstein 4600 shocks for my son's 2008 Tundra.

They're the right ones per Bikstein and other sources, but I don't see anyway on earth the rear shocks are going to install with OE hardware as advertised.

Except for the threaded portion, the rod is way too thick for the washers & bushings, but that part is too short to mount them all on.

Anyone ever installed these?

I'm not a Toyota guy but I'd suggest to look on youtube and Toyota specific online forums. Many people prefer the 5100 (adjustable) over the 4600 and I've seen 4600 installed upside down in the rear. But that's all I know...

Got Bilstein on the phone. It uses the OE hardware off of the TRD, not the base Tundra.

So I ordered a set from my dealer.
