Birthdate for Model 29-3?

I'm having trouble divining the date of mfgr. for my new 29. Here's a picture. What confuses me is the different font for the 'A' in the number. It probably means nothing, but...
I have the SCOSW, and if I'm doing it right it falls between Jul. '85 and Nov. 85. Is that correct?
