Brownells sell blacking salts for stainless. They are used in a hot bath just like regular bluing salts. Some gunsmiths and refinishing shops have the set-up. The other option is black chrome, again available at some gun plating shops.
Neither process is really suitable for home application unless you have a lot of extra cash.
