The post here about can openers prompted this post.ALL the clothespins you buy now are made in China and they are worthless!! Being without a job causes one to be very frugal in spending money so we dry clothes on a clothesline. The clothes pins you buy now LOOK like the ones mother used but they ain't!!!Any ideas on hanging clothes out and getting them to stay on the line???

If I am correct, you can get U.S. made "old style" clothespins (the ones without the spring) from Lehman's.

linky.

Be careful though, the ones with the spring that they sell are Chinese made.

Being a pack rat, I saved my mothers which she purchased in the 50's, glad I did.

If possible, try having a double clothes line, one running parallel to the other.

That will at least eliminate the weight problem and you could probably still use the Made In The New America ones you purchased.

Thanks everybody,my wife is right now looking through her mother's old stuff. Thanks for the Link Andy,we may end up buying a bunch of those before they are gone!
