The snow storm that is hitting Connecticut and the north east coast now has been updated to a Blizzard .It has been forcast for Connecticut to get 12"-18" of snow with high winds up to 50+ mph.
The storm is supposed to go till around 6:00pm tonight. I live in Litchfield County in the northwest part of Connecticut .So far this year the eastern part of the state has gotten hammered normally it's the northwestern part of the state.
I'm waiting for it to stop then will go out and deal with it with the snowblower it normally takes a few hours to clean it up.
I wish all people good luck and be safe in the path of this storm as the temps. are going to drop to the single numbers with a lot of wind chill.
P/S They are forcasting two more 6"each storms for Sat. and Mon. mornings.

Bill you are right we have become a bunch of wimps.
But up in Maine you guy's are better equipped to handle deeper snow. Around here the problem is the idiots that don't know how to drive or know when to stay off the roads and let the plows do there job.
In the last few years we have gotten a few 36"+ storms that have shut down the state.;)

In Houston if they have snow flurries they think it is a blizzard and cancel going to work.
BTW how is that global warming doing for you? Global warming is actually area specific warming. It has been low 80's here while you are getting global snow. I can't wait till global warming taxation nixes the fear we are going to be under water. That's my laugh for the day.

Well I only got 13" some ended up with 20" but the wind is still brutal . It went pretty good cleaning it up . My stepson and I ran my two snowblower's my wife and stepson's girlfriend cleaned the 6 cars and trucks.
It took about 2 hours as I have a large driveway and 75 ' of sidewalk.
Tomorrow I'll get up on my 3 bay flat roofed garage and clean that off before we get the next two 6" storms Sat. and Mon.

Look's like we got about a foot of snow, still coming down, cold and windy out there, I looked up the temp on the inter web, it said 17, it's usually colder then what it says, supposed to go down to -7, guess I will have to go out in the morning with an ice pick to clean off the car and the truck. :(

Well It's February here in Arizona and here's our Pear tree!
Jim

That is what we saw today. The wife and I went for a ride and out to eat at Chompies, one of the really great New York Style Delis here in Arizona, think it got up to 80 during the day. But it is getting chilly now, down to a frosty 74 degrees this evening.
