Maybe it's just a Florida phenomenon but the last few years there is a "fashion trend" that baffles me. I walk 4 miles 5 days a week and at least once a day there's a "silver fox" about 85 pushing a tented baby stroller. Inside there is a Shih-Tzu, Yorkie, Pomeranian, Chihuahua or even a cat. It's hot enough just being in the air, being in a tent gotta be rough. If I get close enough the animals have that "Help me" look, cats are looking for an opening. At least the human is enjoying the outdoors. Signs and wonders. Joe

Saw the pet stroller thing done at Furman University's lake the other day, but it wasn't very hot outside.

There is an idiot in my neighborhood too, she pushes an ancient Weiner dog around in a stroller. Then puts the mutt down in selected parking strips to pooh, so she can pick it up in a plastic bag. So glad to be a cat guy.

Around here it isn't just the "blue haired bunch", I see all ages doing it, some jogging even. And it isn't always the little bitty dogs, I've seen beagle sized ones going for the ride.

My dad,in his 70s,drove a mb 230 sl with the top down and a gigantic bouvier riding in the rear parcel shelf [emoji23]

The girl (30, maybe) that used to rent next door had her old dog in a stroller when she took the fitter animal for a walk.

There are also two young ladies that walk a bunch of dogs in the neighborhood most nights. There is a good sized, older looking dog (Bernese, possibly) in a trailer towed behind a bicycle ridden by one of these girls. Definitely qualified as a "alrighty then!" moment the first time I saw them.

yep must be a floriduh thing first time I saw it my 55 plus subdivision I thought the woman must be pushing a great grandchild around, nope some pocket sized doggo.
best part the doggo was dressed up with pink ribbons.
my dog (Harley ) at the time felt bad for the little doggo and asked me if he could bite the owner.

Well do they take them out to poop???? What does the dog do to tell them he has to poop?? I've got questions here...

In Southern California the owners of small cute dogs need to watch out for
coyotes that will attack them even on leash and if you have a cute purebred you might even get jacked at gunpoint. Maybe the stroller and a good pair of dark sunglasses for the dog isn't a bad idea.

Signs and wonders, indeed…

Remember you posted that when you're cleaning out the litter box.

If you ask those ladies why they're pushing a dog in a stroller, they'll tell you they're giving the dog its exercise. Yes they will.
