Imnot even a beginner bird-watcher or anything and till a few days ago--never heard of Greenjays.I was watching some hour long thing on PBS--quite by accident--and I didnt get in it till sometime after it started.I was cruising through the channels and some guy as walking down a somewhat--familiar sidewalk.Turns out he was in my old home town of Kingsville. Anyway,he had just finished eating at some Mex restaurant that opened up somewhere in historical down town.
Well, they briefly talked about Harrells Pharmacy--which is still Harrells but no longer owned by the family.
Anyway, the host entered the Running W Saddle Shop--which is still in the same place its always been :::corner of King and sixth streets::::in since opening--and interviewed an elderly hispanic gent that I had known long ago--who was an expert Saddle-maker etx.Nice to see someone I remember from when I was a yonker.
Anyway, after the trip around and through Kingsville,he went on a personal tour of the King Ranch. The Intl HQ for the ranch is three miles to the norwest of Kingsville.Ive been through there many times when i was younger.
Anyway, the point of this isnt to yak about Kingsville, but--what I saw mentioned on that tour. They got out of the tour bus,and the guide showed him several brightly colored birds nesting or resting in a tree. These were all green Jays,I had never heard of them before but--they sure are some very beautiful birds.
I wish I knew what this program was called? id love having a DvD of it.I havent set foot in kingville--except maybe twice--since ninety six. Lookslike a lothas changed in the town I used to call: Deadsville.
