Blue spring

Is the spring on top of the bolt the blue one everyone talks about?

My new Z series does not have blue springs.
They must be trying to get rid of old stock.

Hi Folks. I'm new to this forum. I just bought a MP 15-22. While I was looking around on this forum, I noticed this thread about the blue springs. Are they part of the reason that the MP15-22 has had the ftf problem that I've read about? Mine has the blue springs in both places.

no, its an attempt at a solution.. im pretty sure the hammer spring is lighter and the bolt return spring is heavier in the blue config.. by doing this the bolt doesnt have to fight the hammer spring to cycle and this allows for a heavier bolt return spring which insures the bolt closing all the way reducing the risk of a oob
