had s@w fix it. which they did. but the wife shot my m@p and wants her trigger like that. any suggestions ?

Not possible. The BG380 is a DA only action that requires a long pull to first cock and trip the hammer. The M&P is striker fired so takes much less travel to release the already (95%) cocked striker. If she really wants a M&P like trigger, trade the BG towards a M&P Shield9 or 9C.

Can you elaborate on exactly what you mean here?

What was the issue you wanted worked on and what did S&W do?

The more detail the better.. And Wee Hooker is correct. It is a DA trigger , it's gonna be a long pull, I do not however see the necessity for it to be 8+ lb trigger pull.

I own a BG380.

Just bought a BG380 - haven't had a chance to fire it yet - but keeping an eye on the Galloway Precision website as they are working on an upgrade to improve the trigger travel and reset on this gun.

If it works as well as their LC9 trigger system it will be a "must have" mod.
I installed the Galloway parts in a friends Ruger LC9 and the Ruger's "never ending" trigger pull was lightened and length of pull was literally cut in half.
