BOND arms says not to use BLAZER ammo in their new semi-auto. It says the Blazer ammo is not crimped.
Has anyone shot or owned one of these pistols?
IMPORTANT AMMUNITION
NOTICE
FOR THE BOND ARMS BULLPUP
AND BOBERG XR9S by BOND
Thank you for
buying a BOND ARMS BULLPUP or BOBERG XR9S by BOND. This notice
applies to both firearms, and for simplicity in this notice we refer to both as the BULLPUP.
The BULLPUP is one of the most unique and cool semi-
autos on the market. Because the
BULLPUP operates differently
from almost every other firearm available today, there are also
some
differences in the types
of ammunition
that work
best
with the BULLPUP
.
WARNING: USE OF AMMUNITION NOT RECOMMENDED BY BOND ARMS MAY
RESULT IN A MALFUNCTION. YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THE BULLPUP IF YOU
EXPECT TO USE ANY AND EVERY TYPE OF 9MM AMMUNITION. YOU MAY
CANCEL YOUR ORDER AT ANY TIME BEFORE YOUR BULLPUP HAS BEEN
SHIPPED
TO YOUR DESIGNATED FFL DEALER AND YOUR MONEY WILL BE
PROMPTLY REFUNDED.
To get its
much longer barrel in a short pistol, the BULLPUP uses a patented Reverse Feed
System that pulls the round backward from the magazine instead of pushing it forward like
current semi-auto
pistols. This
backward movement requires ammunition
that has well
-
crimped
bullets,
because
rounds with
insufficient
crimp can
separate the case from the bullet, causing a jam.
We have done extensive testing, and have identified a wide
range of readily available ammo
that works well in the BULLPUP. Most hollowpoint ammo
is well
crimped and works
reliably and many brands of “practice” ammo also work well. We have
attached
a list of
brands and types of ammo that we have found to
be
appropriate for the BULLPUP, and we will
keep the list updated
on
our website.
If you decide to try brands or types of ammunition that are
not on our recommended list, we ask
for your
help by giving
us feedback on the ammunition
you use so we can pass that
information on to other BULLPUP owners.
If you use your
BULLPUP for self
defense, use only ammunition recommended by Bond.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, AND HAVE FUN WITH YOUR BULLPUP
