Boot grips

I have big hands and I really like the Eagle Secret Service grips that are on my model 49 Bodyguard. They're not hand-filling at all, as they are thin and streamlined, but they are much more comfortable than the stock grips and hide better.

Are they more comfortable to shoot than stock grips?

I like the feel of the S&W boot grips that came on my 442 and I've tried 'em on my 49, but the web of my hand has to absorb all of the recoil over little more than the width of the frame. I can't stand to shoot more than a dozen or so rounds with those grips. Even the standard Magna wood grips are more comfortable to shoot. If I want to shoot much, I have to put on Pachmayrs that pad the backstrap.

Well, with the boot grips on the knuckle of my middle finger doesn't smash into the trigger guard under recoil like it does with the stock grips. The T-Grip helped out in that respect, but I like the Eagles better.

I shoot Remington 125gr.+P JHPs and Fiocchi non-+P 158gr. FMJs, which are a bit on the warm side, without problems.
