I have a 380 Bodyguard that I carry as a bug. When I wear my western boots, I use a DeSantis Superfly holster that I shove down into the top of the boot. It has been working great, but the other day, I fell climbing up the stairs in my home, and the gun came out. I think I need a holster that has a thumb break, but then I need to secure it to my leg or the boot.

I currently have a DeSantis Die Hard ankle holster for when I wear my hiking boots. I need something thinner.

Does anyone carry a bug in their boots?

PJ holster for boot carry

if this picture loads you will see a solution to an inboot holster I had built for a Kahr PM9. it would work much better for the Body Guard due to being lighter & smaller. of course my pants cover the gun and holster....

I carried a model 60 in an ankle holster a few times with different holsters and none have been used again in 20 years. It is better than being unarmed but there are so many other solutions that are better. The draw is always awkward and the concealment can be a problem due to the way you sit, can't cross your legs (maybe with a boot but that means you have a higher reach), prints unless bell bottoms come back in style. Good luck.
