I'm looking into buying a laser bore sight so I can mechanically bore sight my weapon. On base, we used a laser bore sight and zeroed our lasers and optics to the barrels. Has anyone ever done this with their m&p 15-22's? Are there any writes ups on it? Any places to buy the laser bore sights? Please send any and all helpful info. Thanks.

You can get a laser bore sight kit at walmart for around 40 dollars. If you have a dicks sporting goods around, take your rifle there. Not sure if it is the same at all of them, but my local store does boresighting for free.

For the price of 22 shells just start with a big target at 25yds and adjust your scope from there. I have both laser and optical bore sighters and I rarely use them anymore.

I second Wal-Mart they have em for a good price. I don't even think you need to boresight it though, just shoot it. Chances are your optics going to be close enough to get you on paper then just adjust it from there.

this is true ammo is so cheap for these rifles.. take a target at 25yds with the rifle in bags fire 1 shot.. without moving the rifle adjust the scope till the crosshairs align with the bullet hole again do not move the rifle during this process...

then fire a 3-5 shot group these should be very close to being zeroed and make minor adjustments as needed ...
