Could somebody tell when a 4006 ser# VJP7909 was made. Just got it from Sportsman Outdoor Superstore, was a LE trade in, great shape. Thanks in advance.

I called S&W customer service and they were happy to give me month and year over the phone for nothing. To get finer-grained than that I think you need either the original box or to pop $50 for the factory letter...

VJP prefix appears to be outside the range of my SCSW, so 1998 or later?
