Botched Reassembly? Hammer notch above trigger notch

I ordered a different width, unserrated trigger from Numrich and successfully replaced it in my dash 2, 60s era, N frame revolver. I began reassembling things (return spring) and inadvertently pushed the hammer down onto its pin with the notch above the trigger notch. Once I realized this, I figured it would be no big deal to pull it back off the pin and replace it in the correct position - I was wrong. I can't get it off! I removed the return spring to get it out of the way and I've tried to resist prying, although I have tried gently applying mild pressure from three different sides thinking it was in a bind. It seems to be catching on the hand, which I can't move very much and can't remove until I get the hammer off. What am I missing here? Have I really screwed up? You may have to pull the hand out to make clearance for the foot of the hammer. Just rotate the hand back out of the hand slot, and lift it out. The down side is.....you'll have to reinstall the hand prior to making another attempt to assemble the parts.

Pull the hand back and wiggle the trigger out. Don't wiggle it much. You do NOT want to pull the cyl stop down.
The hammer will almost fall out then.

Hand won't rotate far enough back to clear frame. I'm not sure I can see in there, but I'm wondering if I got the little spring inside the trigger channel against the hand correctly. Diagram shows it should be on top. I'll check.

I think the bolt blocking pin on the back of the hand is prohibiting you from rotating the hand back out of the hand slot. It's hitting the hammer foot. Can you move the trigger back or forward any at all?

Pull the trigger to the rear. The hand will rotate forward enough to get out of the way of the hammer foot and with the hammer at full cock position you should be able to lift it out of the frame.

Oh, also, you have to pull the cylinder release button to the rear when doing this or the hand will hang up and not rotate forward... sorry I left that out before.

He can't pull the trigger to the rear, the hammer is already all the way back.

Looking at the photo, there seems to be nothing in the way of pulling the trigger back.

Push on the hammer spur hard,,pushing the hammer forward and down.
The sear edge on the lower side of the hammers circumferance will skip by the pin on the back side of the hand.

That is what is holding the hammer back in the full cock position and also not letting you pivot the hand to the rear.
Those two parts are locked up by their interference.
You can't pull the trigger as that pin on the back of the hand is up against the sear portion of the trigger and can't afford any travel to the trigger itself.

Once the hammer is forward,,and it won't go all the way 'down' but will go far enough for you to pivot the hand back out of it's frame slot,, you can then remove the trigger w/hand.
Then remove the hammer if you need to.

I finally got the hammer in just the right position, with the trigger forward just enough to wiggle the hammer out (while holding cylinder release back AND the hand forward at the same time). Copious amounts of lube helped. It was minimal clearance. Thanks to all for your help and encouragement.
