I ordered a different width, unserrated trigger from Numrich and successfully replaced it in my dash 2, 60s era, N frame revolver. I began reassembling things (return spring) and inadvertently pushed the hammer down onto its pin with the notch above the trigger notch. Once I realized this, I figured it would be no big deal to pull it back off the pin and replace it in the correct position - I was wrong. I can't get it off! I removed the return spring to get it out of the way and I've tried to resist prying, although I have tried gently applying mild pressure from three different sides thinking it was in a bind. It seems to be catching on the hand, which I can't move very much and can't remove until I get the hammer off. What am I missing here? Have I really screwed up? Thanks in advance for your helpful comments.
