Hey all,

Long time M&P owner, just bought the Shirld Plus Super Carry, took to the range, 25 yards was about 50% on target, I’m left eye dominant right handed but shoot excellent out of a scope with 2 eyes open, is there a trick for pistols?! Is 25 to far for the sub compact 30 SC?

I regret selling my G1 45 M&P as I was very accurate with it after the trigger upgrade, and look forward to buying a 2.0 45, have the triggers been improved or should they still be upgraded, can’t remember the kit been years ago.

I'm right handed and left eye dominant. I just have to blade my body round a little more to get lined up. One benefit is that my leftie (weak side) shooting seems to be better than most.

I might have to start shooting scoped rifles left-handed. I've got just enough astigmatism and macular pucker in my right eye to cause issues on some days.

I have three M&Ps, a 1.0 40c, converted to .357 SIG, a 1.0 Shield 9, and a Shield 45. Combined rounds shot from these three pistols is right around 30,000. I'm right handed, but I'm not sure which eye is dominant, as I've always shot with both eyes open. I typically shoot my M&Ps at 15 and 20 yards. The Shield 45 is the most accurate for me. Shooting at 25 yards from these three compacts is a stretch. I can hit paper consistently with my 40c and Shield 45, but shooting my Shield 9 at that distance is pretty much a waste of ammo.

I just had cataract surgery on both eyes, and I'm waiting on new eyeglasses to fine tune my vision to 20-20. I'm anxious to see how that will affect my shooting. Maybe I'll be able to shoot my M&Ps effectively at 25 yards after all. ;)

I am RH and left dominate so I close my right eye. Otherwise I see two sets of sights and 2 targets. Been doing this for 30yrs. A couple months ago at the range my wife asked me when I close my right eye. I said I have no idea. Stand to my right and I will do a few one shot draw and reholster. Apparently my eye closes about the same time my left hand gets to the gun.
