Went to the Gun Show in Canton, Texas today.
Sat with a close friend and helped on his table.
Sold a 22 rifle and bought a "new to me" pistol.
It is a KAHR CW 45. Just like new with 2 magazines.
It is a 45 acp caliber. The magazine holds 6 rounds.
The grip is thin and fits my hand perfectly.
The trigger has a long slack "take-up" and then a really crisp release. Excellent!
Fits perfectly in my existing inside pants clip holster.

I've got Kahr P45. I liked it very much, but my youngest son really wanted it so I sold it to him at a very reasonable price. I missed it. All steel, but it carried really nicely, and it shot very well. I've probably fired over 1500 rounds through it. It was the first semi auto I ever used for an EDC gun.

At a later date, I had acquired another pistol that my son thought he liked really well, so he offered to trade me the Kahr back for it. I advised him he was foolish to do that. He was persistent, so I figured he could learn the same lessons that I had learned about such things and made the trade with him. He has since sold the second pistol and moved on to other things, but I still have the Kahr P45. Probably ain't going anywhere for the reasons I've stated above.

I'm carrying a Shield 45 these days since it is lighter than the Kahr, but the Kahr performs admirably at the headboard of my bed as well as a travelling companion when my wife and I are on the road (in addition to our EDCs, of course. She likes shooting the Kahr as well as I do, and might just carry it herself if it wasn't quite so heavy. But the extra weight sure helps it to shoot easily! I have been very positively impressed with the Kahrs I have had experience with, except for the one I had for a while in .380 caliber. It worked, but not well enough to ever gain my confidence. It's gone now. I bet you like the CW 45.

It's a nice thin 45 and find it plenty accurate and easy to shoot with the recoil quite manageable.

The "cheese grater" grip can become bothersome for extended shooting sessions. I don't like to shoot with gloves on so pulled on a section of bicycle inner-tube over the grip.

Here is a link from another forum you may find some interesting information about your new piece, warts and all.
