Have had the bug for a new car for a few weeks and today the wife and I went to the local Honda dealer to look at some used Honda Pilots. They had a 2016 Touring and the 2017 Touring.

Took the 17 for a test drive and didn't even bother trying out the 16. The 17 had more miles on it, but it was clean and we liked it. Has all the bells and whistles too.

Traded in our 2016 Honda Odyssey for it. The Pilot has a little more leg room for me and seems to ride a bit smoother than the Odyssey too.

The wife will be the main driver for the Pilot, as I like driving my truck. Plenty of room in that for me and with the 5.0 liter engine she scoots. Of course the Pilot isn't too shabby either, but it doesn't sound like a V8.:D

Factory car alarm problems.

I was watching the Philadelphia 11 PM news last night and they were talking about several cars in the city being entered, that were locked with factory alarm systems. The thieves were captured on surveillance video's holding up what looked like a factory clicker that somehow obtained the real factory frequency and unlocked the door. This is not good if people keep money, computers or guns in their vehicles. I hope that the alarm companies find something soon to defeat this before it becomes too prevalent. If it has to start someplace it had to be the city first!

My wife has a 2016 Honda Pilot. Her first Honda, I don't think she'll ever buy anything but a Honda. I like the leg room when I ride with her.

Well old44guy maybe the American car manufacturers need to step it up. The metric motorcycles are the best thing to ever happen to Harley Davidson.

Same goes for current firearms manufactures. If you want a new quality firearm you have to go custom, Ed Brown or Wilson. Otherwise you need to look at the older Smith's and Colts. Ruger still does pretty good. I won't buy ANY of the new Colts or Smith's.

Several years ago my daughter & hubby traded their Honda Odyssey for a Pilot. She is the main daily driver and really likes it in the MN winters. Prior to getting married she drove a true 4x4 SUV, Ford Explorer.
No accounting for his taste in cars, his daily driver is a Chevy Volt.

Honda guy here, on my 7th Accord, had 2 Honda road bikes and drove the S600 and S800 when I lived in Japan in the 60's. Met Soichiro Honda when I lived there also. I probably have over a million miles on/in Hondas.
The Pilot is a great SUV and is high on the list for my next Honda.

I bought a new Honda Civic wagon in 1984 and have kept a Honda pretty much ever since. Probably had 15 or so and never a bad one. Right now my driver is a 2008 Ridgeline with a 2011 Acura TSX sportwagon (Honda Accord Tourer in the rest of the world) for trips.

I've had a couple of Pilots and they are wonderful all around vehicles. Honda's AWD isn't for rock crawling but for going through an 8" snowfall they are hard to beat. Very surefooted and reliable. Good luck with yours!

I've had an Accord, 3 Odysseys, and now the Pilot. Thought it would help in the Winter since it has All Wheel Drive, and you can change from driving in snow, mud, or sand, besides the normal driving mode.

Didn't happen without pictures!
