Folks, I recently found a very nice S&W .32ACP semi-auto in really good condition, but now I'm wondering what are my chances of finding a factory box (or even a replica of it) and the paper manual. Any advice?

I had to Google that gun because I didn't even know S&W made a 32 ACP. According to the website I visited they sold less than 1,000 of them. The chance of finding an original box is probably very slim and even then it is most likely still accompanying the gun it came with.

My advice would be to appreciate the gun as is. It's rare piece of S&W history and not having the box doesn't diminish that fact. Congratulations on your find.

Yes, I realize it is super-rare, but miracles do happen, especially this time of year, right? :) So who knows what Santa may bring. Like I said, I'd be happy even with a replica (I vaguely remember seeing someone somewhere on the internet making replicas of factory gun boxes).

I found this reproduction box and paperwork for my M1903 .32 auto a few years ago on eBay. I don't know how accurate these are (if at all). I did a quick search today and found nothing exactly like this, and it is no longer in my saved purchase history to be able to give you the seller's information, but I'm sure you should be able to find something suitable.

What is the approximate vintage of your 32?

This old auction contains a detailed description of the box that came with this .35 Model 1913, not a .32 Model 1924 like yours. But it stands to reason that the boxes remained the same or similar. Unfortunately there appear to be no photos included except the one showing just the edge of the box.

Plus, I found this picture, again only of the 1913 with box:
