Colt Python 4" Blue N.I.B. "1978" $.01 No Reserve! : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 with original box : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

There is some eye appeal when presenting a box and manual with a like new gun.
But come on guys $300 added to prices.
Yes I know free enterprise and all that.
I feel we are encouraging the fakes to be made.
I can go for a presentation box at maybe $100
Not a cardboard or plastic one.
Then there are shipping sleeves. Hang tags etc.

I was thinking adding my old navy boon docker boots with my 28-2 in the BOX and adding $200 to it. I wore the boots when I picked up my 28-2 NIB for $145 in VA 1974 I think.

Just thinking about boxes.
The ones I trashed and can not find.

Heresy! Heresy! See no evil, hear no evil, but above all, speak no evil! There can be a point to it, but when I hear the question as a seller, I know someone is looking to chintz me out of a reasonable price. And when I do have the box, which is always, there's always something else catastrophically wrong, even when the item is LNIB. It's why I stopped selling guns to individuals other than friends and acquaintances.

P.S. FWIW, saw my first $3,000+ Pythons at local show.
