I find it interesting that guns dot com has a brand new model 67 for sale, even though that model has been discontinued for a few years now.
Is it coming back or something?
I would totally buy it if I had an extra $1675 lying around. I've always fantasized about owning a brand new model 15.

In recent months I picked up three very
pristine Model 15s, each with boxes in
excellent shape and tools.

I wouldn't swear the guns haven't been
shot but they appear pretty close to that

I suspect that quite a few S&Ws exist in
their new or near new state, purchased years
ago and then put away. A friend of mine has
both a Model 15 and Model 14 which he
bought at least 40 years ago and never shot.

There are still plenty of guns in the vaults of collectors that remain unfired. As they age or pass, they do hit the market. Of course dealers who sometimes buy them at ridiculously low ball prices demand a huge premium for them.

I knew a club member years ago who would generally buy two of each gun he really liked. One for the safe and one to shoot. I still know quite a few collectors with unfired nib pieces.!

The seller is in a fantasy world, with that price.
It's a current model. I still wouldn't pay that much for an early NIB no dash gun.

Looking at the frame contour I would guess that it has the lock. It also appears to have a 2 piece barrel. Both of those features make it a big NO for me. And that price is way out of line. I wouldn't think it to be worth half that. I doubt they will sell very many.

I recently paid $450.00 for a 67-1, in near NIB condition, but with no box or papers. No problem, I was going to, and have shot it anyway.

$1700? No thanks. There are three or four other guns I want yet.
