Brooklyn Arms Co. Slocum Sliding-Sleeve Revolver.
Not a infringement on the Rollin White patent, but a Evasion to circumvent the patent held by Smith & Wesson.
A unique design with individual chambers in the form of sliding tubes within cutouts on the cylinders. Chambers slide forward on at a time over a fixed rod on the right side to expose, load & remove the cartridge.
Barrel marked: B. A. Co. Patented April 14, 1863
.32 rimfire, 5-shot
Manufactured 1863-1864

Got one of these myself. Very well built. Ammo is unobtanium 32 rimfire. Cool little guns! Mine is serial #2057 so they must have made a few of them.

The one I posted is no longer in my possession. It is serial number 2359. According to my research, total production was over 10,000.
I still have the .32 Rimfire cartridge shown above.

That looks like a modern 32 rimfire S&W cartridge. I was told by an old timer that the Slocomb used a proprietary .32 rimfire that had black powder propellent. I'd hesitate to use more modern 32 rimfire ammo in this brass frame. I do have some modern 32RF ,but I'm not that daring..
