Brownells comes through

Back last August I ordered several item from Brownells, and all but one item was shipped. The item was back-ordered. After only 8 months I received an email asking if I still wanted the item as it was now in stock.

I'll give them credit for asking, as a lot of places would have just shipped it.

Then comes the problem that during that 8 months I had bought something from Home Depot and was caught up in that Cr. Card mess and yes, my card showed up charging a meal at Jack in the box in Calif. All straightened out and my card cancelled and a new one issued, but of course Brownells still has the old number. Only took one phone call and that was fixed also. It's so nice to work with good companies.

That's good to hear a story about thoughtful customer service these days.

Also amazing that your credit card was used to make a purchase at Jack-in-the-Box. That Jack's Secret Sauce will make people do strange things. Surprising though that it wasn't used on something a little more expensive.
 
I have always found Brownells to have great Customer Service - second to Dillon's of course.

Their backorders are always shipped (unlike some other Company's) and their phone wait times are not terrible. Their prices have become a bit high lately, but they do have pretty much anything you need, so it's a matter of convenience and one stop shopping. Over-all they are excellent.
