Was out looking at some jobs Friday and my route took me past my favorite LGS.
Saturday was my 60th Bday and decided to swing in and see if something might make a good present to myself.
Found this Browning 1911 / 22. I have seen pictures of them but never handled one.
Very good condition, original box and paperwork.
Fell in love with it or at least the thought of it on the spot.
Was another ranch weekend and took it with me to shoot it some.
Trigger left some to be desired and the sights leave LOTS to be desired.
This is basically a scaled down (aluminum frame and slide) 1911. From what I can find it is an 80% replica and the sights seem to have been scaled accordingly.
Well, some shooting turned into 500 rounds. The trigger got better the more I shot it. Maybe another 500 rounds and it will be better yet. The sights were helped out with some white paint on the front blade.
This thing is an absolute ball to shoot!! Plenty accurate when I do my part. At this point, it is a keeper.
Only downside is I am now thinking I need a Commander sized 1911 to go with it.

I bought mine when it first came out. A lot of fun to shoot. Below photo with Kimber Custom Eclipse II for comparison

I also loved the first one I saw, but haven't bought one yet... too many other wants lined up ahead of it. Felt like the perfect size in your hand!

Yep, mine still makes me giggle. Fun guns, reliable (so far), and great for the kids. Yes, a bit pricey, and they haven’t come down, but cute as all get out. As for the sights, I do wish there were better ones I could swap in, but there are other models available. Nice score, Chukar60!
