Picked up a late 2018 manufactured poly-coated BR9 2 weeks ago used for $100 off retail in NIB condition. Over a coupe of hours, put 700 rounds of 8 brands of 115, 124 and 147, round and flat nose, regular and nato through it shooting steel in high heat. Alternated shooting it with 1911s, including a CMP. Put 150 of 115 and 124 through it shooting paper yesterday. 3 different shooters. Absolutely no failures of any type. Trigger was ok to start and is noticeably better after 500 rounds. Just for laughs, Carried it IWB for one day in place of my 3913. Never fired a Hi Power before so can't provide a comparison. Like it a lot as a steel range gun, where speed counts more than pinpoint accuracy. Just OK for paper, but that is probably me and the need for more practice with it.
Won't be replacing the 3913 as my carry gun.
