I walked into the local hardware store/LGS yesterday and to my delight I saw (1) pack of Winchester 555's and (4) packs of Remington Golden Bullet 525's.....I got them all for $30 OTD each :)

Around here, the elderly unemployed and the younger unemployed, and the middle aged unemployed fight each other each day for the ammo. It seems to be a cat and mouse game where the game is to get to WalMart and the gun stores before each other, buy the ammo, and then list it online for 3-4x what they paid for it.

I couldnt tell you the last time I saw bulk 22 in any store.

So ammo reallocation is serving to employ Americans of all ages.

Kind of makes me feel like I should go on line and buy some. You know, as a show of solidarity for them taking the initiative to find a way to make money.

:D

A bit expensive based on the prices I've paid @ Academy. For those upset that the OP bought it up I"ll just say it all comes out in the wash. I passed on 2,000 rounds of 22lr and 500 rounds of CCI 22 mag this week so everthing balances out. The "Force" is just dandy.

I have had no problem getting ammo at Gander Mt.
I found a brick of .22 Federal for $24 and 1000 round bulk case of 9mm UMC for $269. Every week they get their shipment and regulate it so many people have the chance to purchase some.

It is very extinct where I'm at. Thanks god I stocked up a while back when the price was right. Btw congrats on your find.

Walked into Bass Pro Shops in Denver yesterday at about 10:30 AM.

They had reloading primers and some powder. Grabbed a can of 296 to load some .357's. Walked over to the loaded ammo section and exclaimed loudly 'Holy smokes - .22 Long Rifle.'

There were at least 50 boxes of the CCI 'Choot EM' 375 round Mini Mags, with no posted box limit. I only took two boxes as I have some .22 at home and wanted to leave some for others. About 6 people heard me and within 5 minutes all of the remaining .22 LR was gone.

I bin wanting some choot ems since I saw them in march online. I know it's stupid but what he heck it will go with my tend nugent and Zmax ammo. Choot em will choot em! They never show exactly the spot, it'd be good to know. Abused 22 guns rusty nasty and outa bullets a lot o the time. No 22 in my neck of the woods, I got in on the cabellas m22 thanks to this forum.
