Once again I watched the Steve McQueen classic, " Bullitt" on TCM. What gun did McQueen carry in this film? Not all that important, perhaps a bit esoteric, but I am just curious.

Isn't a female the CEO at Colt, and looking into restoring the revolver?

I thought I heard that somewhere.

Interesting thought just came to me. What if Colt brought back the Diamondback as a 9mm revolver and initially only in 9mm. Bet it would be a seller. Also might shake up S&W enough to do what should have been done years ago, that is a 9mm version of the 686 and a 9mm Scandium J frame.

I really like the Diamondback and would love to have a snub .38 or a blue six inch .22. Unfortunately I didn't start craving them until I couldn't afford them anymore.
Walmart has had Bullitt in their $5 rack for months around here. In widescreen. I watched it about four times when it played at the show when I was a kid. Fifty cents for two top movies. I can still watch that movie over and over and do. They use real doctors and coroners in this film and it looks very realistic and gritty.

Yes, I have to say i miss the Diamondback. Every once in a while I think about getting another and then simp out when I see the price. Given that type of money I will buy another Smith!

While someday there may be another Diamondback, there will never be another Steve McQueen. I think right now I need to go for a ride on my Triumph.
