2 days until I pickup my M&P15 Sport. So, I just placed an order for a pair of Burris Fullfield II scopes. Buy a 3-9x - 40mm and get a rim fire 3-9x - 40mm for free. On top of that there is a $50 rebate. Impulse purchase. With 2 pairs of rings, total w/ shipping $325 then minus the $50 Rebate, or $275. Thinking a low cost way to scope both my M&P15/22 and the M&P15 Sport, and appropriate for shooting paper within 100 yards. Should I not bother opening the scopes, or can this get me by for my monthly range trips?

Have never used a Burris scope but heard they are good. I can tell you this I put a cheap fixed 4 power on my Sport and at 100 yrds that target is still very small. I missed having that higher power that a 3x9 scope gives you.

I have a 3-9 Fullfield 2 on my deer rifle and I like it. Clear and bright. In fact I bought another to scope my Swiss K31.

I was flip flopping between a AR332 Prism, but with my old man eye sight I decided on the scopes. The price was also too tempting. I have a BSA red dot on the 15/22 but heard it would explode if I mounted it on the Sport.
So it sound like I should open the box and mount them. With one day away, worst case I can sell then to my friend to slap it on his 10/22 and the Mini-14. Thanks for the replies, ya all.
