Bushnell Acog clone

I bought an early model and for the money like it a lot BUT last range session recoil started to cause the lighted reticle to flicker and shut off. I changed the battery and cleaned the terminals, hoping this will solve the problem.I have it on a Colt 6920. Go to Midways site and read the reviews, there are quite a few, some concerns over the reticle being tilted.Bushnell Trophy MP Red Dot Sight 30mm Tube 1x 32mm 3 MOA Red and Green T Dot Reticle with Integral Weaver-Style Base Matte - MidwayUSA

It's just another Chinese made RDS that Bushnell happened to put their name on. The guts of it look the same as my unbranded ACOG replica, the outside of my replica is an exact copy of the ACOG though, at least Bushnell put their own spin on it.

I have the same one on my 15-22. I have put about 1200 rounds down range with the Bushnell installed. No problems so far. Very easy to dial in the range. Each click is .75 MOA adjustment. There is about 1 degree of tilt on the T-Recticle sight but hardly noticable. I probably only notice the tilt since I have read about this a hundred times in customer reviews. Just press down on the sight hard while tightening to get it straight as possible. The tilt can be more pronounced if you try to tighten it to the rail without firmly pushing down on the scope.

It's not a clone but instead a cheap scope made to look like an ACOG.

I've got one and I really like it. The t-dot is very sharp even at the highest brightness settings. And the brightness adjustments actually work really well on this. Low is actually very dim and it ramps up progressively from there until it's nice and bright on the high end. I've had other red dots where it went from bright to brighter and the dot was very fuzzy. Not the Bushnell.

Others can say what they will about it, who it copies or who makes it.... but I've really been satisfied with mine and everyone at the range who has looked through it has been impressed as well.

I wonder if this Primary Arms Deluxe 3X Magnifier would line up with this red dot. Anyone know?

Not sure... it really depends upon the mount/ring you'd be using with it. I purchased a cheap FTS mount (a knock off of the Samson style mounts) and it sat just a bit to high with the Mako magnifier I have. It was useable but since it didn't line up quite right the setup wasn't ideal. I still like the idea of having a magnifier but until I find a mount that will line up correctly with the Bushnell I've taken it off.

Sorry I can't provide a better answer for you... One thing I would say though, is that it's probably better off buying name brand mounts/rings as opposed to the generic knock offs. I took a chance since the price wasn't too bad but it didn't pay off in my case. I knew it was a gamble and wasn't expecting a whole lot from it and it's a good thing... otherwise I'd have been pretty disappointed.

So keep that in mind if you decide to try going with cheap mounts/rings (or any item for that matter). You might just end up making two purchases if you do. While they are more expensive, it's often better to buy the name brand items from the start if you can afford it, even if it requires saving up for them. It can be cheaper in the long run and provide you with a better experience overall.

How good does it co-witness with your BUIS?

Perfectly. Was easy to get it to co-witness with the MBUS system I have installed. I never tried it with the factory irons so I can't speak to that but it works really well with what I've got on there.

I just picked one up today. Ran by the gunstore to check up on when my wife's pink 10/22 is coming in, asked about red dots. One guy asked the other "Do we have anymore FACOGs?" They showed me this and I bought it. I think I may pick up the MBUS rear sight. It looks like it'll cowitness with the factory sights. But the rear is kind of bulky.

Hi There, I just bought my M&P 15-22 about 2 weeks ago and loving it. I'm looking to purchase a magnifier (UTG 3x) with FTS mount and probably the Bushnell tps-15. Does anyone know if they will be compatible?

Mine is a green or red selectable, variable intensity, 1MOA, T-Dot. It's given me no problems whatsoever. The T-Dot is really easy to see.

^ Rapid fire @ 76ft, standing.

I'm happy with it.

I have one on my PC, mounted exactly like JaPes's. Several thousand rounds, cleaning, handling etc and it hasn't budged one bit since sighted in. Cowitness perfectly w/ the stock irons, and as a bonus, mounting it as above firms up the upper receiver/foregrip junction nicely.

Until you pointed it out, I didn't realize it did that. LOL.

I learn something new every day.
