I took my 642 Powerport pro out for the second time this morning and I have to say that the trigger is now perfect. I can't even count how many times its been dry fired but this morning I put another 150 rounds through it. I tried something different though. After reading some threads from shooters who used HBWC rounds, I loaded up some nice mild rounds and tried them. With light loads and the port up front, the muzzle barely rose. Double and triple taps were so easy to do.
I must admit that it's been years since I've appreciated the revolver. I've got a set of Pythons that I admire but havent shot in so long because I've gotten into the autoloaders lately.
If anyone is interested in the 642 Powerport Pro, I highly recommend it. I was apprehensive at first because I heard the porting added noise and flash but I didn't find that to be true. I turned the light off in the booth to see and with defensive loads like corbon DPX the flash was minimal.
